Roy L. Meaux asleep in Jesus at 3:15 am on January 15, 2011 at home. Visitation will be held on January 17th from 1-2:00 pm at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar, Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be held starting at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Roy was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 21, 1923 and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1962. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a federal government employee for 36 years retiring in 1981.
He leaves his wife Harriet and three sons, Gregory Meaux and wife Johnda, Dan Meaux and wife Carmen, Tim Meaux and wife Sherri, also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is loved and missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Bethany Lutheran Church or Odyssey Hospice.
