Mrs. Ruby McKernan

Ruby McKernan, a righteous gentle spirit beloved by all who knew her, passed away on October 7, 2010. She slipped away quietly and peacefully in her home surrounded by close family, loved ones and loved friends. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of Shawnee, daughter, Leah DeWerff, of Olathe, son, Craig McKernan, of Seattle, and granddaughter, Faith Dewerff. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Frank, of Philadelphia, PA, and brother, Dr. David Frank, of Seattle. A service celebrating Ruby's life will be held on Monday, October 11, at 1:30 p.m., at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 13310 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, Kansas, 66062. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ruby and Tom's church, Woodland Ridge Presbyterian Church, PCA. A special memorial fund to help church members in need and to support the work of the church has been established in Ruby's honor.
