Rudy V. Ganaden, 84, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at his home in Shawnee, KS.
Rudy was born July 6, 1929, in Kansas City, MO, to Engracio and Dorothy Ganaden. He graduated from Southwest High School, in 1947. He served in US Navy during the Korean War. Rudy retired from H.D. Lee in 1993 after 22 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed making hook rugs for friends and family and was a fan of the Royals and Chiefs. Rudy was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW, 406 W 34th St, Kansas City, MO 64111 and Kid's Wish Network, 4060 Louis Ave, Holiday, Florida 34691.
