Mr. Russell Harville

December 18, 1937 — August 15, 2007

Russell H. Harville, 69, of Overland Park, passed away peacefully at KC Hospice House, surrounded by family on August 15, 2007.

Russ was born in Kansas City, MO on December 18, 1937, to Harold and Bertha (Schuble) Harville. Russ attended Northeast High School in Kansas City, graduating in 1955. He graduated from Central Missouri State University with a business degree in 1960. Following his service in the Army National Guard, Russ started a 37 year career at the Ford Motor Company, which took him to Minneapolis in 1991. Upon his retirement in 1998, Russ returned to the Kansas City area.

Russ married Gloria (Bucker) Harville in 1967 and moved to Overland Park in 1969, where he started his family and lived the next 22 years. Russ was a dedicated father and never missed a game, recital or school event. Russ loved to travel, specializing early on in the long family road trip vacation. Following his retirement, Russ remained very active with his friends, former co-workers and new granddaughter. His positive personality and subtle wit will be missed by us all.
