Ruth Eleanor (Brauch) Meadows, 91, of Leawood, KS, passed away on November 14, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, C. Ray Meadows and survived by her two daughters, Christina Wreyford and husband, Don, of Longmont, CO and Pamela Miltenberger and husband, Gregg, of St. Louis, MO, and granddaughter, Jennifer Wreyford of Sunnyvale, CA.
A Kansas native, Eleanor was born June 2, 1920 in Kansas City, MO . Graduated from Paseo HS in 1937. She married her high school sweetheart, C. Ray Meadows, on July 19, 1941.
Ever the consummate hostess, Eleanor was known for her hospitality. She and Ray warmly welcomed everyone into their home and made them feel like family. The two loved to travel and enjoyed many trips overseas. In their later years, they traveled the country in their RV, "Gampa's Big Bus".
