Ruth Ann Shane

Ruth Ann Shane, 84, Overland Park, passed away Sunday, November 19^th, 2023.  Ruth was born April 8, 1939, in Kansas City, KS.  She graduated from Turner High School in 1958 and attended Johnson County Community College.   She transferred to Mid America Nazarene University and graduated with a degree in Interior design.  She was the owner of Draperies and Things in Shawnee in the 70’s and then worked for General Services Administration for 22 years before she retired.  In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed gardening.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Shane, and her siblings:  But Hart, Charles Hart, Nancy Wilson, Virginia Faucett, Alice Eisen and Carol Hardesty.   She is survived by her two sons:  Steven Pickett (Kathleen) and grandson, Phillip Picket, and Roger Yord (Fe) and their twin daughters, Katie, and Rovina.
