Samuel A. Murphy, 28, Olathe, Kansas passed away December 16, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 20, 2009 at New Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8714 Antioch Rd., Overland Park, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64128. Sam was born October 17, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. He attended Topeka Adventist School in Topeka, Kansas, Minnetonka Christian Academy, Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, Greg and Marilyn Murphy; sisters, Rachel and Mary Jo Murphy; and fiancée, Natasha Palmer.
