Sandra (Sandi) Elizabeth St.Denis (née Frey) of Mission Hills, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022, the six year “angelversary” of her beloved husband Bob. She was 84 years old.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 30, 1937, Sandi graduated from Garnett High School in 1954. She attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where she studied French and was a Summa Cum Laude. She graduated in 1958.
Upon graduation, Sandi took a job with Morrison Hecker Law Firm in Kansas City, Missouri. It was during this time, while living on the Country Club Plaza, that she met her sweetheart Bob at a Young Republicans meeting. After a short engagement Bob and Sandi were married in a small ceremony on October 5, 1962.
Sandi devoted much of her life to raising her four children and maintaining the financial records for Bob’s many companies. She was dedicated to Second Presbyterian Church where she taught preschool, served as a Deacon and Elder, and worked in the Church Office for countless years.
Her favorite hobbies were reading books, playing bridge, and travelling with many friends to her favorite destinations, including Lake of the Ozarks, St. Simons Island and Palm Desert, California.
She is survived by son Brian St.Denis and wife Janice of Leawood, Kansas; son Gregory St.Denis and wife Amy of Houston, Texas; daughter Shannon Maize and husband Mark of Leawood, Kansas; and son Steven St.Denis and wife Laura of Leawood, Kansas. Sandi was lovingly known as “Nonni” to her nine grandchildren: Zachary St.Denis, Danielle St.Denis, Mallory St.Denis, Jonathan Maize, Connor St.Denis, Sydney Maize, Victoria St.Denis, Ashley St.Denis and Leslie St.Denis. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward St.Denis and parents Jacob Frey and Helen Burbridge Frey.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be directed to Second Presbyterian Church of Kansas City, Missouri, the Alzheimer’s Association , or a charity of your choice. Sandi St.Denis will leave a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 318 E. 55th Street, Kansas City, MO 64113.
