Savannah K. Armendariz

Savannah's life ended unexpectedly on July 11, 2020.

Savannah was a bright wonderful daughter and person. She was born December 10, 1993, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Savannah loved life to the fullest and enjoyed music, dancing, talking and visiting with family and friends. She graduated from DeSoto High School in 2012. She was a Girl Scout from Daisy thru the Junior GS level through the DeSoto School District. Savannah was currently a member of the KS Special Olympics Shawnee Storm which she enjoyed participating in cheerleading, swimming, bowling, softball and volleyball. Savannah's socialization skills with her bright outlook on life knew no boundaries.

Savannah is survived by parents; M. Lee and Teresa Benson and Marie Newell. She is also survived by her extended family: Juliet Medina, Christopher (Amanda) Armendariz, Missy (Shawn) Runyan, Joe Armendariz and Patty (Chris) Sweeney. Johnnie Armendariz (grandpa) and Margaret Armendariz (great grandmother) plus numerous family members.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS  66210.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Rd, Shawnee, KS 66226.  Entombment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in the Indoor Mausoleum.
