Seth Lathrop (Skip) Weld III
Skip Weld, 68, Overland Park, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brig. General S.L. Weld, Jr. and Ruth F. Weld. Skip is survived by his "bride" of 44 years, Jan; his son, Seth L. "Tad" Weld, IV; grandchildren Alec and Kendall; sister Mary Miller; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of his life will be Monday, January 29 from 6:30-8:00 p.m., at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Family interment will follow on Tuesday, January 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
