Sherri Ann Hose, 53, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the University Of Kansas Hospital after losing her battle with pancreatic cancer. Sherri was born in Hutchinson, Kansas to Carl and Saundra (Kroening) Grimm. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, from 2:00 -5:00pm. (Casual attire is fine.)
Survivors include her husband Geoffrey and son Paul of Overland Park, her parents Carl and Saundra Grimm of Hutchinson, her sister Denise Grimm of Boulder, Colorado. Also surviving are Aunts and Uncles: Dwayne and Ginny Kroening, Saratoga, CA, Carole and Melvin Schuchmann, Solon, Iowa, Craig and Marie Grimm, Solon, Iowa, Becky Grimm, Shellsburg, Iowa; Brother and Sisters-in-law: Matthew and Sallie Hose, Portland Oregon, Monica and Bradley Thomas, St. Ann, Missouri and Cecelia and Fred Winkleman, Florissant, MO.
Sherri graduated from Buhler High School in 1981 and Kansas State University in 1987 with a B.S. in Construction Science. She was employed by the Allergy Link clinic doing medical billing since 2005. In addition to being a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, she loved rescuing homeless cats and border collies and enjoyed bird watching and travel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of Squaw Creek (a favorite bird watching location), Att: Treasurer, P.O. Box 244, Mound City, Missouri 64470 or a no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
