Sherry Lou Bevan, 85, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
Sherry was born September 7, 1927, in Birmingham, AL. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald.
Sherry is survived by her sister, Alice Joy McBride, of Tulsa, OK; four children, Bonnie Bevan, Bob (Barb) Bevan, Betty Bevan and Billi (Joe) Ruwart; five grandchildren, Melanie (JC) Clark, Susie (Nick) Buckley, Sam Bevan, Jesse (Charlotte) Trible and Jenny Schidel (James Bond); and four great grandchildren, Kennedy, Alex, Brandon and Jesse.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
