Sherry Lou (Brown) Gibson passed away April 24, 2015. She was born in Lawton, OK, and raised there and in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by mother and father, Lola M. (Moore) and Gifford C. Brown, and twin brother, Jerry Mac Brown. She is survived by loving husband of 62 years, Joe Berry Gibson; children Karyn Gibson (Chuck Turner), Cindy (Tom) Manning, and Greg (Pam) Gibson; grandchildren Jessica (Ivan) Pavon, Christopher (Christina) Gibson, Jason (Margaret) Gibson, Kellen Manning, Emily Manning and Megan Manning; great-grandchildren Gabriel Gibson, Eleanor Gibson, Mariela Pavon, and two more great-grandchildren to be born this summer. Also survived by sisters Jo Ruth Shelley and Tonya Carey and twin brothers Danny Lee (Nikki) Brown and Benny Dee (Jan) Brown, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Sherry was loved by her children and grandchildren, who remember many very special times with her. Christmases were always traditionally festive feasts featuring her legendary noodles. Sherry enjoyed travel to many states and countries and she loved crosswords, books and needlecrafts, always making gifts for others. She never forgot to send a birthday card to friend or family, and always wrote a sincere personalized note. Sherry competed in the Miss Tulsa Pageant in an outfit she made herself, including hat and gloves. She attended Oklahoma State University and pledged Pi Beta Phi sorority, and worked as a legal secretary and church secretary. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
