Shirley M. DeFore, 85, went to her eternal home in heaven on January 16, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. A visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., also in the chapel. Entombment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Shirley was an employee of Avon for 42 years. She was a member of Red Bridge Christian Church, Kansas City, Missouri.
Shirley’s companion of 50 years, Helen M. Wright, preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by her companion’s care givers, Terry Huffman, Wilma Vincent, and Scott Arnold.
