Mrs. Shirley Giese

Shirley Giese passed away on September 20, 2009. She was 83 years old. Shirley was born in Springfield, Mo., but lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1944. She worked for 20 years for U.S. Cold Storage during which she became the Office Manager. She worked for 18 years for Concrete Materials where she was also the Office Manager. She loved to do crossword puzzles and was a proficient piano player. She was married to William Giese and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in May of this year. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel. Visitation will be held at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
