Stanley J. Pindjak, age 90, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 at The Sweet Life at Rosehill.
Stanley was born May 7, 1917 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to Charles and Mary (Salota) Pindjak. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 32nd Field Artillery Battalion and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Stanley moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1947 and worked for Benson Manufacturing company as a tool and die maker. He later owned his own repair service business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, his sister, and Ernestine Pindjak his wife of 53 years. Survivors include his brother, Frank (Pete) Pindjak of Ft. Myers, Florida; stepdaughter, Bettye Caldwell of Overland Park, Kansas; stepson, Gary Kahmann of Olathe, Kansas; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Gardening was his love, he was always willing to lend a helping hand and he never complained.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1st at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00 ? 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church with rosary recitation at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Stanley?s name be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund.
