Stephen Waldron (Jack) Davis, 83, Overland Park, KS passed away August 4, 2011 at his home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. A private family service will be taking place.
Jack was born March 20, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp serving as Military Police from 1945-46. Jack graduated from Pittsburgh State University with a Masters in History. He then taught history and government at S.M. North High School as well as other schools for over 27 years. He later served as a social service worker for the States of Missouri and Texas. He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Thomas Davis and mother, Mary Lenore Davis.
Survivors include his two sisters, Marilyn Thomas of Dallas, TX and Nancy Wolfe of Austin, TX; daughter, Stephanie Davis of Prairie Village, KS; daughter, Barbara Davis of Overland Park, KS; son, Garth Davis of Gainesville, FL; son Tom Davis of Gainesville, FL; and son, Cullen Davis of Overland Park, Kansas; and one grandson, Patrick Davis.
