Mr. Sterling Jones

Sterling Lionel Jones, 80, of Lenexa, Kan., passed away peacefully December 16, 2006, at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa.
He was born May 19, 1926, in Nashville, Tenn. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy as a signalman, Sterling moved to the Kansas City area in 1952 with his wife, Ernestine. Sterling was employed by Purina Mills in Kansas City, where he worked until his retirement. Sterling is preceded in death by Ernestine, his brother Doug and his sister Mildred. Survivors include his son Randy and wife Terri of Overland Park and daughter Stacey and husband Steve Rivers of Shawnee, Kan.; grandsons Kevin, Danny, Jackson, and Gage and close friend Dorothy Focht.
