Steve Galate, 53, of Overland Park, KS passed away on October 30, 2015. A celebration of life will be held from 6-9pm Thursday, November 5, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66210. Rosary starting at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 6, 10am at Ascension Catholic Church, 9510 W. 127th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213. Graveside services will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Everyone is invited to attend a luncheon following at Ascension.
Steve was born January 8, 1962 in Kansas City, MO. He worked at Associated Grocers almost 35 years and also owned his own contracting business.
Steve was proceeded in death by his parents Anthony J. And Beverly J. Galate.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cyndy, daughters Carly and Gina and son Vince of the home. Brothers John and Jill, Mike and Cheryl, Tom and Teri and Anthony and Cindi. Father and Mother-in-law Paul and Helen Coniglio. Brother-in-law Paul and Susan Coniglio. 19 nieces and nephews and a host of cousins. Steve was a loved and cherished man. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, or www.kchospice.org.
