Steve Moore, 48, passed away at his home on June 12, 2010 surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday June 16 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Ave OPKS. Graveside services will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday June 15 also held at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Steve Moore Children's Fund at 14316 Antioch Rd Overland Park KS 66221. Steve was born on October 28, 1961 in Kansas City and was married to his true love Denise (Oder) Moore for 28 years. They raised two beautiful children Adam (19) and Emily (14). He was devoted to his family and cherished his lifelong friends. He was proud to work for Falkenberg Construction for over 20 years. His finest professional achievement was the development and successful growth of DCM Construction. Steve truly valued the close relationships he formed with his clients and employees. He took great pride in the quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service he provided. He was preceded in death by his father Steven L Moore and mother-in-law Virginia Oder. He is survived by his mother Carol Moore, brothers Warren and Anthony Moore, sisters Carolyn Thurman and Jeannette Moore, as well as numerous family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
