Steven Vecchio

Steven B. Vecchio (Steve) of Overland Park, KS passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on March 25, 2022 at the age of 79.

Steve is survived by his three children Todd (Diana), Jeff, and Angela along with his granddaughter Alexa. He is also survived by his siblings David, Marilyn (Bob), and Carol (Jim).

He was very dedicated to his wife, Connie, who passed away in 2020. Prior to Connie's decline in health, Steve and Connie loved to travel with their friends.

After graduating from Creighton University, Steve spent most of his life in the Kansas City, Overland Park area with a career of 45+ years at A.G. Edwards/ Wells Fargo Advisors and service on the Police Department Retirement Plan Board of Trustees from 1986 to 2010. Steve, or VECC, as some of his friends call him, loved his profession and was still working for his clients up until the day he passed away.

He loved his family including the Vecchio cousins, friends, clients, sports, BBQing, and GOOD wine, as he had quite the collection.

A lover of golf and all sports, he was a member at Brookridge Golf &CC, then Wolf Creek Golf Club, and a season ticket holder of both the Royals and the Chiefs since the 70’s.

Memorial services will take place at Johnson County Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 12 at 2 p.m. The service will be livestreamed, see "click here to access the video" below. (Reception after)
