November 1, 1941 - November 27, 2022
Margaret "Sue" Turner, 81, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022. She was born on November 1, 1941 in Kellyville, Oklahoma, the youngest of three children to Charlie and Maudie Romine. Sue was raised in Kellyville where she met the love of her life, Jack. In high school, she excelled in basketball and softball. Jack and Sue were married in 1961, and they spent 60 years together. Sue had many jobs in her life. The most important was being a wife and mother raising their children, Tina and Nick. She enjoyed her days coaching Tina's softball teams. Sue and Jack served for many years as tournament directors for Johnson County Girls Athletic Association. Sue loved to bowl and played in women's bowling leagues for over 30 years. She loved to cook and always made enough to feed an army, especially for New Year’s morning breakfast. Sue was known as "Mama Sue" to the friends of Tina and Nick and "Grandma Sue" to her grandchildren's friends. She made them feel she was their own mom and grandmother, lovingly supporting kids she considered as her own. Sue was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack, an infant daughter, Carol, her parents and siblings. Survivors include her daughter Tina (Stuart) Packham, her son Nick (Lori) Turner as well as grandchildren Cody and Julia Packham and Ally and Mason Turner.
