Susan "Sue" Petty

Susan passed peacefully into eternal life at home at the age of 71. She has joined her loving father who preceded her in 2007.

Susan graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1965. She was a passionate and accomplished horse rider. Later Sue took up golf and loved every minute on the course.

In October 1973 she joined the Army National Reserve Officers Candidate School Graduating as a Corporal First Aid Attendant with the Medical Corp reaching the rank of Captain. After completion of Medical Corpsman in 1975, Susan received the personnel security as “secret”. With a high national security clearance she went on to work for the Government in the National Geo Special Agency as a topographer until her retirement.

Susan leaves behind her loving mother Clara Petty, sister Linda Petty, two sons, Stephen Ziegler (Erin) and Jason Ziegler. Four grandchildren, Kaylee, Chloe, Brianna and Kyndra along with two nephews Scott DeVaney and Mac Mackay.
