SYDNEY KATHERYN DONOHUE
Sydney Donohue, 72, Mission, Kan., passed away Monday, April 12, 2010. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 10 a.m., at the Wesley Chapel of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection located at 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, Kan. The memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a graveside service immediately following at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Born August 27, 1937, Sydney grew up in Kansas City, Kan., and was a 1955 graduate of Rosedale High School. She was employed for 30 years by Mobil Oil Credit Corporation until her retirement in 1999. Upon retirement, she became a full-time Grandmother, which she cherished with all of her heart. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and they were truly blessed to have her. Preceded in death by both her parents, George V. and June I. Donohue, she is survived by her brothers George and Tommy; sister Penny Marquis; son Scott Babcock; daughter Shawnda Nachbar; grandchildren Lauren and Jimmy Nachbar, Haley, Steven, and Jay Babcock.
