T. Kent Lundgren, age 59, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lundgren was born May 28, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He married Jean in 1970 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota and from St. Cloud State University with degrees in chemistry and math in 1971. After 9 years as a high school educator and coach in Minnesota, he went into sales. The family moved to Overland Park in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Ivan Lundgren. Survivors include his wife, Jean V. Lundgren; mother, Edna Lundgren; sisters, Kathe and Kristin; son, Erik (Tami) Lundgren; daughters, Julie Lundgren and Jennifer (John) Arrocha; grandchildren, Isabella & Nate Lundgren.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son. He enjoyed close times with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and sports enthusiast. He was most happy at home with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd Street. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 ? 6:00 p.m. Sunday at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf with a prayer service beginning at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Kent Lundgren to the American Heart Association
