Thelma Lorene Schuster, 92 of Raytown, MO passed away February 3, 2016 at The Groves Care Center in Independence, MO. She was born January 16, 1924 in Blue Jacket, OK. Thelma was the oldest of six daughters born to Homer and Julia Hall of Afton, OK.
After graduation from Afton High School Thelma married Henry F. Thurman. They had three children, Judy, Billy and Brenda. The family moved to Kansas City in 1956. Henry passed away from a heart attack in 1973. Thelma worked in the offices of K.U. Medical Center until her retirement.
In 1976 she married Owen Crain. Owen passed away in 1982.
Thelma and Raymond Schuster were married in June, 2001. They lived a life centered on their love for God and their love for their family. They found great enjoyment in square dancing.
Thelma was preceded in death by one sister Ada Bronaugh, Miami, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband: Raymond Schuster, Independence, MO; four sisters: Edith Howland, Jean McFarland, Sharon Williams, Miami, OK, Betty McCray, Olivehurst, CA, three children: Judy Wordelman, Lee’s Summit, MO, Bill Thurman, Raytown, MO, and Brenda McCamish, Liberty, MO, three grandchildren: Laurie Spalding, Lee’s Summit, MO, Jason McCamish, Raymore, MO, and Dawn Jones, Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
