Mr. Theodore (Ted) Reinoehl

L.T. (Ted) Reinoehl, 96, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. He is survived by his daughter, Kathie Reinoehl of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Chris Reinoehl of Ball Ground, Ga., and Don Reinoehl of Mountainburg, Ark.; a nephew, Richard Adams of Lakeville, Minn.; and two nieces, Nancy Bagget of Ellicot City, Md., and Sally Churgai of Pottsdown, Penn. He leaves behind two grandchildren, Sean Schloss of Tokyo, Japan, and Diana Carson of Charleston, South Carolina, and two great grandchildren. He received a law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1938. In 1941 he received another law degree from George Washington University. After a stint with the Securities and Exchange Commission, he joined the Kansas City law firm of Stinson, Mag, Thompson, McEvers and Fizzel, specializing in Corporate Finance Law. An accomplished pianist, he and his wife supported the Lyric Opera, the KC Symphony and traveled the world listening to music. An avid baseball fan, he held season tickets for the KC Athletics and the Royals. He enjoyed spending time bird watching, canoeing and fishing at his beloved wilderness cabin in Northwest Ontario, Canada. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kan. The family suggests contributions to the Lyric Opera (kcopera.org) and the Symphony (kcsymphony.org). Arrangements: D.W.
