Thetis Sylevester was born on August 20, 1929 in Kansas City, KS to Chester E. & Thetis O. Graham. She was the second of ten children. She was an air raid warden during
WWII and co-hosted and sang on KCMO radio. She was also patriot and
Christian.
Thetis married Frank Sylvester on July 23, 1949. Together they had five children Eric, Dennis, Danny, Erin and Tim. She loved to entertain her beloved grandchildren Jake, T.J., Sarah, Becky, Rachel Rizzo( & Jon ), Jessie(& Bobby Chambers), Chris, Jennie, Zachary Myers, Kelley, Brett & Greg Williams and one great-grandchild, Rylee. She had a career in insurance between raising kids and grandkids.
She leaves behind her mother in law, brothers & sisters, brothers & sisters in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by beloved son Erin, parents, great grand parents, her brothers Thomas and Glenn. She was our light, she loved her family above all else, we miss you dearly and we know you have already hugged Erin for us. Until we meet again, love, your family.
Service and burial will be Saturday, June 2 at D.W. Newcomer's Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, 11200 Metcalf Ave., OP, KS. Visitation 1:30-2:30, funeral service immediately following. Memorial contributions to Olathe Medical Center.
