Timothy Lawrence Funk, 26, Tonganoxie passed away Sunday March 18, 2007 at home. A celebration of Tim?s life will be 1:00pm Thursday at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. A gathering of Tim?s family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Dylan Robert Funk Education Fund in care of the funeral home. Timothy was born in Lawrence, Kansas and went to Elementary School in Jamestown and California, Missouri and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1999.
Tim loved many things in life. He loved baseball especially the Atlanta Braves. He loved watching boxing with his father-in-law and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan. He enjoyed music and loved going to concerts and to the lake. He also had a love for animals. He had been a volunteer EMT and Firefighter for the city of Tonganoxie and had worked for Grundfos Pumps for the past six years.
Tim is survived by his son, Dylan Robert Funk of Tonganoxie, his father and step-mother, Dennis and Donna Sosna, Prairie Village, mother and step-father, Sherry and Terry Feltrop, Jamestown, MO; brothers and sisters, Nathan William Sosna, Atlanta, GA, David Sosna and Jennifer Kay Sosna, Prairie Village, Jeremy, Travis, Gregory, Kevin and Melinda Feltrop all of Jamestown, Missouri; Dylan?s mother, Holli Funk, Tonganoxie, paternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Sosna of Lenexa, Maternal step-grandparents, Lindo and Kay Lopez, Shawnee, Ks and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Karen Drennon, Basehor, Ks. Tim loved his family and he will be dearly missed by all of them.

Tim loved his family and he will be dearly missed by all of them.
