Timothy Scott Reichard, 52, Liberty, MO, passed away on Sunday, September 17th, 2017. He was born on March 12th, 1965 in Columbia, MO and later spent most of his adulthood living in and around the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Tim is survived and will be dearly missed by his parents, Dale & Bonnie Hinkle; his brother, Jerry Brightwell; sons Jason, Jeremy, & Ryan Reichard; daughter, Renee Reichard; step-daughter Michelle LeRette, as well as several beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jonathan & Allen Hinkle.
Tim, or “Captain Concrete” as he self-proclaimed, made a career in concrete and had the thick skin and callused hands to prove it. While he may not have turned water into wine, he could surely turn water and a pile of rocks into the finest works of art and structure, proof of which can be found all throughout the area.
He loved power sports, MU & Chiefs football, and living the lake life with family and friends. He was the type to show up and give a helping hand or be there for you when others would not, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Living his life @ 100 mph with no looking back, everything he did, he did with a kind of ferocity that was at times intimidating, sometimes inspiring, but never apologetic.
Your presence will be missed on this earth, and soon shall we meet again. Heaven, concrete is on its way!
A memorial will take place on Friday, September 22nd at 3:00 pm followed by a celebration of life reception at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Please feel free to dress casually as Tim would have wanted you to.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Tim’s honor to March of Dimes, 4400 College Blvd., Suite 180, Overland Park, KS 66211 or The Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland, 8900 State Line Rd., Suite 320, Leawood, KS 66206.
