Twyla A. Noller, formerly of Prairie Village, Kan., died on May 4, 2010, at Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge, Md., following a lengthy illness. A funeral service will be held at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel at 8201 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kan., on Saturday, May 8, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park. She was born September 17, 1927, in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Grant Ragan and Eva Fauth Ragan. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1945, and married Robert S. Noller of Sigourney in 1947. After working briefly as an administrative assistant in Chicago, she dedicated her life to raising her family and being an excellent homemaker. She lived in Montezuma, Iowa, Minneapolis, Minn., and Prairie Village, Kan., while in good health. In 2007, she moved to Chicago and then Maryland to be closer to her daughters as her illness progressed. She enjoyed officiating at AAU swimming competitions, playing bridge, knitting, gourmet cooking, traveling and theater. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs. She was a Daughter of the Eastern Star, a member of the Overland Park Trailblazers and volunteered for Meals on Wheels after her husband's death in 1993. She is survived by two daughters, Jackalyn A. Noller of Cambridge, Md., and Joan L. Tillman of North Barrington, Ill.; her sisters Bertha C. Ragan of Lake Zurich, Ill., and Vera R. Lordahl of Wilmette, Ill., and two nephews, one niece, one grand-nephew and one grand- niece, all of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
