Valerie Hall Obituary

Valerie Sue Hall, 67, went peacefully home to heaven on November 21, 2012, in the presence of her family and several close friends.

Valerie was a resident at the Evergreen Community in Olathe, KS, where she'd been living since August.

Val was born on May 8th, 1945 (VE Day) in Kansas City, MO, to J.W. and Barbara Fry. She was a graduate of Blue Springs High School and attended Baker University in Baldwin, KS. She graduated in 1967 from UMKC with a degree in dental hygiene. She retired in 2004 from the staff she enjoyed so much at Drs. Miller and Sullivan in Lenexa, KS.

Val married Clint Hall on March 31, 1973 at her family home in Blue Springs, MO. From 1975 until her death she was the loving and supportive wife of her pastor husband. She leaves behind many loving relationships formed at Cornerstone Church, formerly of KC, MO, and the Westbrooke Church of Overland Park, where her husband has been a pastor since 1986.

Val is survived by her husband Clint, and sons Jonathan and Zachary Hall of Overland Park; daughter Joanna Regier, husband Matt, and granddaughters Megan and Elizabeth of Lenexa, KS; son Andrew Hall, wife Liisa, and grandson Jaxon of Beverly, MA; daughter Sara Littlejohn, husband Mark, and grandchildren Kate, Julia, Lucy and Anderson of Roeland Park, KS.

Val also leaves behind sister, Andrea Martin; sister, Lindsey Minear and husband, Wayne; brother, Brian Fry and wife, Nancy, all of Blue Springs, MO. She was the beloved "Aunt Valerie" to her nieces and nephews, and a joy to her extended family and her many friends.

Visitation will take place from 5-8pm on Monday, November 26, at Westbrooke Church, 9777 Antioch Rd Overland Park, KS 66212. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, at 2pm at Hillcrest Covenant Church, 8801 Nall Ave, Prairie Village, KS 66207.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Mary Morgan, case manager, for their loving care of Val. Many thanks to the staff at Evergreen Community, for the outstanding care and comfort they provided Val and the family during Val's stay. You guys are awesome!
