Salzmann, Valerie Lynn, 51, Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.
Valerie was born July 23, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Harold Vernon ?Brownie? and Eunice Irene (Jones) Hutson. She married Chris Salzmann on July 5, 1980 in St. Louis, MO. She was a loving wife and mother who gave to all and used her spiritual gifts to the fullest. She was so proud to work with special education students as a Para Professional at Pleasant Ridge Middle School. She felt this was her way to give back. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Chris Salzmann, her children; KT Salzmann, Elise Anne Salzmann, Andrew Salzmann and Clarice Christine Salzmann, her brothers; Vernon Hutson and his wife Sharon and Tommy Hutson and his wife Donna.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Melanoma Foundation, 12395 El Camino Real, suite 117, San Diego, CA 92130.
Memorial Services will be 4 PM Friday, February 8, 2008 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7851 W. 119th Street, Overland Park. Interment will be at the Salzmann family farm in Potosi, MO.
