Vera Maruca Cummings, age 85, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007. A celebration of her life will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6th at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas. Cremation, inurnment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Courtyard of Memories mausoleum.
Vera was born May 28, 1922 in Butler, Pennsylvania, the second youngest of nine children. She was at various times a stenographer, dance studio owner/operator, real estate broker, financial planner, and a business school instructor. At all times she was a funny, loyal, and vivacious friend to her numerous friends in Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Boston, and Overland Park.
She is now survived only by her brother, Harold Maruca; and by several loving nieces and nephews.
