Vera M. Orr

Vera M. Orr, 92, of Mission, KS passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at KU Medical Center. She was born and raised in Garden City, MO, but lived most of her married life in Mission. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl Orr; brothers, Dale Gilkeson and George Burns Gilkeson; and sister, Gladys Frederickson. Survivors include her son, Larry Orr; daughter, Carolyn Emery; and four grandchildren, Catherine, Christine, Kenny, and Melanie. Private family services will be held; burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
