Verna Allison

Verna Louise Allison, 103, passed away January 19, 2016 in Holden, MO. She was born March 31, 1912. She was a life-long Kansan born in Ellinwood, KS and graduated from Wichita Business College, living most of her life in NE Johnson County area. She was a charter member of Overland Park Lutheran Church. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Wolfermans for three years and then as a secretary-bookkeeper for Shawnee Mission Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Co for 18 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of S.M. Historical Society and local AARP Society.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carthal Allison; children, Joan Lebo, Barbara Norris, Carole Dalton, B. Gene Allison, Robert Allison, Roger Allison; brother, Lester Schrepel; two sisters, Lorraine Schrepel and Lois Goodwin.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Cheryl Kay Cripps and numerous grandchildren and relatives.
Her funeral service will be 2pm, Monday, January 25th, 2016 with visitation to begin at 1pm at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave.
