Walden, Gene, 84, Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008.
Gene was born Jan. 24, 2008 in Guyman, OK, the son of Edgar and Laura (Tyler) Walden. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was an Honorary 33rd degree Mason of the Old Mission Lodge, Kansas City Chiefs Red Coater, a member of ?The Kansas City Breakfast Club?, Rotary and the Sertoma Club. He was also a former member of the Asbury United Methodist.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents , four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley Walden, his children; Sue Jones (Greg) of Overland Park, KS, Diane Steeves of Wichita, KS, Dan Walden (Dana) of Wichita, KS, Cindy Robinson of Springfield, MO, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
There will be private family services. The family suggest memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
