VICTOR T. STODDARD
Victor T. Stoddard passed away on Sunday, January 7 at the John Knox Village Hospice Care Center surrounded by his sons Travis and Tyler, daughter-in-law Kimberly and grandsons Matthew and Adam. He was 64 years of age.
Victor was born in Independence, MO on May 21, 1942, the son of Edmond A. and Mildred L. (Reynolds) Stoddard. He spent his early childhood in Kansas City and later throughout the Vernon County Missouri area. In his final years, he returned to Jackson County where he made his home in Blue Springs, MO. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs.
Victor earned his B.A. degree in History with a minor in Economics from a state college in Oklahoma and was also an ordained Baptist Minister. He retired from the Department of Mental Health after 27 years of employment as an investigator with the State of Missouri.
Victor is preceded in death by his father Edmond and sister Sara Newman. He is survived by two sons, Kyle Travis Stoddard and his wife Kimberly, grandsons Matthew and Adam of Lee's Summit, MO and by his youngest son, Kenton Tyler Stoddard of Kansas City. He is also survived by his mother Mildred, brother Edmond and sister-in-law Earlene, all of Bryant, AR. Victor is also survived by his former brother-in-law, Leon Newman of Enid, OK., as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
The Stoddard family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Victor's Sunday School class and the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs for their companionship and continued spiritual support. Their devotion as well as the devotion of his many other friends and colleagues during the past months provided Victor with invaluable comfort and peace. Finally, the Stoddard family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the John Knox Village Hospice Care Center for providing Victor with the best possible care.
Victor was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and is dearly missed by all.
