Violet M. (Parson) Wallert, 96, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park, KS.
Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Funeral services follow at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS.
Violet, one of seven children, was born on December 26, 1912 near Hunter, KS, in Lincoln County to Almon Parson, Sr. and Cora Belveal Parson. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers; and her husband of 68 years, Edwin Wallert, whom she married on July 10, 1935. They resided in Wilson, KS, until 1965, when they retired and moved to Olathe, KS. They had three children, Dr. Wayne Wallert, Ellsworth, KS, Corrine Robinson and Vicki Williams, Overland Park, KS.
Mrs. Wallert is survived by her three children; a brother, Verlin Parson, Lyons, KS; a sister, Loretha Lyker, Hutchinson, KS; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A special life has passed from our sight…but not from our hearts.
