Virginia (Achenbaugh) Nicoski

Virginia G. (Achenbaugh) Nicoski, 80, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015.  Virginia was born on February 19, 1934 in Carson, Iowa to the late Charles and Alma Achenbaugh and was a 1952 graduate of Oakland High School.  Virginia had been a resident of the Lenexa, Kansas area since 1974.  She was a dedicated, nurturing loving mother and wife who enjoyed life outdoors and tending to her garden.  Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Leonard S. Nicoski and her son Matthew Nicoski.  She is survived by her children Dan Nicoski and wife Brenda of Olathe, Mark Nicoski of Lee Summit, Vedder McCaustland of California, Aaron Nicoski of Gardner, Venetta Crawford and Husband Tadd of Virginia, and Mike Nicoski and wife Jennifer of Kansas City.  Virginia is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  All arrangements are under the direction of Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens 11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66210.  Following cremation Virginia will be interred with her husband at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Virginia to the Alzheimer's Association P.O.
