Virginia Marie Page, 99, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away May 13, 2008, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
She graduated from Old Catholic High School (now Ward High School), 1236 Sandusky, Kansas City, Kan. After graduation, she worked at Rudy Patrick Seed Company for a few years, then for Kansas City Life Insurance Company. While working at Kansas City Life she met Andrew Pflumm. When Andrew graduated from law school he asked Virginia to join him in starting a law firm in Mission, Kan. In later years, Stuart Mitchelson and Don Amrein joined the firm and Virginia worked as their paralegal. Virginia retired in 1970 and spent her retirement years traveling and visiting her numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Francis and Barbara Palague (Miller) Page, her sister Mary Bernadette Page and her brothers Albert Francis Page, Jr., Paul Edward Page, Andrew John Page and niece Patricia Marie (Page) Deyerle. She is survived by her niece Barbara Page-Stocks and her nephew Timothy Paul Page and wife Janette Marie (Elliot) Page of Overland Park, Kan., her niece Mary Theresa (Page) Wilson and husband Ralph Wilson of Pleasant Hill, Mo., her niece, Jeanne (Page) Russell of Overland Park, Kan., her niece Kathleen (Page) Reardon and husband Bill Reardon of Kansas City, Kan., her niece Marilyn (Page) Snyder, husband Joe Snyder and Virginia's cousins, Margaret Pexa and husband Eugene Pexa of Shakopee, Minn., and Mary O'Rourke, Minneapolis, Minn.
The rosary will be prayed at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 112th and Metcalf Avenue, at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, with Rev. Tony Lickteig officiating. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103 St., Overland Park, Kan., in the Martha and Mary room with Rev. Harry Schneider officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1150 N. 38th St., Kansas City, Kan. A luncheon will be served at the church after internment. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
