VIRGINIA RUTH (WITHERS) ROSTOCIL
Virginia Ruth (Withers) Rostocil, 71, passed away March 7, 2011. Virginia was born November 25, 1939 in Hiawatha, KS, to Frank and Florence Withers. She moved to Kansas City in junior high and graduated from Wyandotte High School. She then attended cosmetology school and ran her own beauty shop. Her other jobs included stay-at-home mother, cashier at Hy-Vee, and babysitter/childcare worker for countless well-loved children. Virginia was a member of Brenner Heights Baptist Church and later attended Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dear friend who always gave unconditionally of herself. Many will miss her genuine smile and kind ways. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, W. Frank Rostocil Jr. of Olathe; daughter Ruth Rostocil Chan, son-in-law David and grandson, Noah, of Olathe, KS; sister Gwen Puvogel and brother-in-law Marvin of Paola, KS; sister Donna Gibson and brother-in-law Ronald of Bend, OR; and many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Friday, March 11 from 5-7 PM at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park KS. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12 at 10 AM also at the Johnson County Chapel. Burial to follow in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
