Vivian Eileen Young, of Overland Park, KS passed away on May 31, 2014 at Lakeview Village. A private family memorial was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation in Vivian’s name.
Mrs. Young was born in Girard, Kansas on August 14, 1934. She was a wife to Milton W. Young, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a sister-in-law, an aunt and friend. Vivian retired as a Mary Kay director with 32 years of service. She loved to read, sing, and travel. She was an elder in her church for 15 years and sang in her church choir. She was vivacious, social, and incredibly likable. Her laugh was infectious as well as her strength. Vivian was an Irish fighting machine! Her battle with cancer is over, but her spirit will live on forever. Her faith and love of family carried her through her struggles and in return will carry those who loved her through our loss of this wonderful, strong, beautiful woman.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Nellie Miller and sisters, Glenna Draper and Geraldine Hegeman. Survivors include her husband Milton W. Young, brother Bill Miller, daughters; Terry Young, Pam Ross and Deborah Bailye. As well has her grandsons; Ben Ross, Steven Ross, Clayton Bailye, and Kurt Bailye.
