Walter Scott Hermansen “Hermie”, 80, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood, Kansas. A visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. Cremation. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contribution be made to Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church.
Walt was born February 22, 1928 in Los Angeles, California to Lucille Scott and Nicolai T. Hermansen. He graduated from Northridge University in California. Walt was married to Elinor Kralick for 57 years. He worked for General Motors in the Oldsmobile division for 35 years. Walt was an active member of Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church for 37 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He was a very proud husband, father, and grandfather.
Walt was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Elinor; son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Cathy Hermansen of Lenexa; son Eric Hermansen of Ottawa; and grandchildren, Lauren & Michael Hermansen.
