She eventually returned to work in 1972 as a unit secretary at Shawnee Mission Hospital and was voted Employee of the Year just before her retirement in 1983 at age 70. Simply put, her family was her ?life? and always her first priority. But, she also loved her hospital work, had many dear friends and co-workers, a deep and abiding religious faith, was active in her parishes throughout the years, loved animals as well as sports, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
