Warren D. Jones died Saturday, June 29, 2013, after an extended illness. He was 79 and lived in Overland Park, KS.
Warren was born January 12, 1934, in Merriam, KS. He was an Air Force veteran and worked for the Bendix Corporation, retiring in 1984. He owned a TV business in Boca Raton, FL, for 14 years.
Warren was preceded in death by an infant son, David. He is survived by his wife, Helen, and five children: Robert Jones (Julie), Overland Park, KS; Susan Adams, Overland Park, KS; Sandra Churchwell (Jeff), Wylie, TX; Paul Jones (Colbey), Plainfield, IN; Matthew Jones (Laura), Monroe, MI; and ten grandchildren. Sisters, Diana Pierce, Osburn, ID; Lola Carol Belknap (Monty), Osawatomie, KS; and brother David Jones (Roxie), Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 pm with memorial service beginning at 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
