Warren Schwabauer

Warren Dale Schwabauer, 77, passed away Nov. 21, 2012. He was born Feb. 9, 1935 and lived in Overland Park, KS with his wife, Ruth. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Warren worked as an Architect until a stroke left him paralyzed on the right side in 1986. Although he never recovered use of his right side, he learned to walk with a cane and spent the next 27 years building a legacy of joy and faith that lives on in his survivors. Warren watched his grandchildren run and play. Now, at last, he is able to join them.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; children Nancy, Barbara, Warren Jr., David and Daniel; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday Nov. 26, 2012 10AM at Holy Cross Lutheran with Funeral services to follow at 11AM. Interment will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be sent to Kansas City Hospice
He lived and he laughed.
