Wesley Blachly, 86, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009. He had been a resident at Kingswood Manor since 2003. Wesley was born June 20, 1923, in West Haven, Conn. He graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1950 and moved to Kansas City in 1951, where he spent the next 40 years at the Nazarene Publishing House, working with sales and promotions. Wesley has been very involved with Kansas City First Church of the Nazarene and the Nazarene Theological Seminary. Wesley is survived by one brother, David of Kokomo, Ind. and his wife Ada; sister-in-law, Betty of Palmyra, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21, at First Church of the Nazarene, 119th and State Line, Kansas City. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
