Wilbur McHenry

Wilbur L. McHenry, 90, passed away January 2, 2018. Wilbur was born May 18, 1927 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was a US Navy veteran, a Chemical Engineering graduate of West Virginia University and a 33-year employee of United States Steel in Clairton, PA., Gary, IN. and Lorain, OH. Wilbur retired to Charlottesville, VA., and moved to Overland Park to be close to his son’s family. He loved to hunt and always had a camera in his hand. Wilbur was an avid WVU, Pittsburg Pirates and Steelers fan.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Beryl McHenry. Survivors include his wife, Evelyne McHenry; son, John McHenry (Pam); grandson, Jonathan McHenry and brother, Jesse McHenry.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Monday, January 8, 2018 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS.
