Dr. William Arkell

Dr. William J. Arkell, age 67, of KC, MO passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born on December 7, 1944 in Skegness Lincs, England, the son of Theresa P. (Crafts) and Dr. Alfred Arkell.
Dr. Arkell honorably served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Prior to medical school, he worked as a Registered Medical Technologist. During his medical career he was a general surgeon and presently had been working in the field of Geriatrics as a Home Care Physician.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Arkell, of the home; sons, Jeff & Carly Arkell of Jacksonville Beach, Fl. and James & Sarah Arkell of Leawood, Ks ; grandchildren, Emma, James Jr., Claire and Easton Arkell; brother Steven Arkell and sister , Judy Beahan of Wappingers Falls, NY, and brother, Richard of St. Clair Shores, MI. Additionally, he was uncle to Lynn & Damon Angelo of Beacon NY and John Beahan of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6415 Holmes Rd, KC, MO 64131. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Kidney Foundation.
